A critical part of CABIN is the establishment of a standard set of protocols and methods for all phases of data collection and processing. Two data sets describe, respectively, the invertebrate fauna and environmental attributes of sites. Over the past ten years, Environment Canada has developed a document which describes those protocols. In addition, a set of standard field sheets and laboratory forms have been developed.
